This show got me, and it got me good. I can't stop thinking about it or reading about it or just being on the lookout for a blue police box (totally ridiculous, because he so rarely comes to America, and never contemporarily).
Still, though, this show is wonderful, and I have big plans involving the classic series and spin-off media for 2009.

It's basically awesome in every way. It's a post-apocalyptic dystopian mostly-feminist epic, and it's just so GOOD.
The first issue (of 60, which are compiled in 10 trade paperbacks) is online, so read it. Go on! Now!

It's not bandwagon-jumping if you're sincerely enamored.

I found these two adorable even when I couldn't understand a word they said, but after reading
random_flores's translations I am besotted. "tres besos mas, y me enamoro de ti como una perra," indeed.
I even made a fanvid for these crazy kids, which marks my first fanwork since 2002.

I'm a sucker for all of the following: Neil Patrick Harris, Joss Whedon, Malcolm Reynolds, a musical, internet jokes, superheroes, pseudo-science, goggles, and adorable redheads.

The thing is... the first ever iteration of this show took place at my college, sponsored by the production company that I now run.
Basically, not only is it phenomenal on its own right, but I get an unwarranted sense of pride every time I hear about it, which makes it double-plus rockin'.

It kind of makes me sad that the best album of 2008 is from a straight dude who is good friends with Zach Braff, but singing at Ellen and Portia's wedding gives him back enough cred to admit how much his songs make me melt.

My Real Life friends make fun of me for playing this too much, like during class, or meetings, or dinner, or parties. Basically, whenever I have my laptop open, I end up shooting the little metal ball at colored balls and bricks.
