And now, for something completely different:

I figured out how to deal with Abe's painful kicking out story. It doesn't happen.
Instead, Abe's always vaguely descirbed his coming out story as traumatic, and Paul and Marc left it. Finally, they confront him, and Liz explains that their mother is the Queer-As-Folkesque over-accepting fag-hag. Abe finds that traumatic because he doesn't want his mom there when he's hitting on people and whatnot. So then _Marc_ is the one with the vaguely unaccepting mother, of his lesbian sister. (Named Chris. Because I vaguely miss Chris). Then I can include the sleeping with chicks line. And, I can have a small side bit about how Marc and Paul met. (Chris was beating Paul up and Marc saved him, rather than it just being any bully. Its funny because it works.)
